ARTIST BIO

I have always been interested in painting and have been influenced by visits to many European and American galleries.  While living in America I studied the Amish style of patchwork quilting. On returning to Australia, I created a number of patchwork quilts and taught the Amish style of patchwork for several years which helped me to design aesthetically pleasing images. My paintings certainly derive their shape, colour and form from my patchwork and that combined with the influence of the art courses I have attended over the years has helped develop my style of painting.

I began painting seriously in Adelaide 20 years ago and since then I have sold my paintings through galleries, have held several very successful exhibitions and, more recently I have also sold my paintings through private commissions.

I mainly use acrylics on canvas
