ARTIST BIO

Mirabela paints with a palette knife using acrylics on canvas. Her palette is colourful and her style unique. She paints with ease and confidence, hypnotic to the viewer as she creates an imaginative reality right before their very eyes. In her cityscape paintings the architecture defies the laws of physics to transfer the city's movements into her paintings. Mirabela's painting subjects range from iconic Australian and international scenery, lane ways and cityscapes  to popular views and stunning abstract pieces.

Mirabela paints from an authentic place and she truly captures the light and spirit in her work while bringing out a peaceful and poetic atmosphere through out her paintings. While some of her paintings are captured at the scene others she paints from memory after visiting a place she felt inspired by.

Since 2011 she has had two solo international exhibitions "Reflections" Brussels, 2011 and "Rebirth" Barcelona, 2012. Currently her paintings sell world-wide through her weekly stall at the renowned St Kilda Artists' market along the esplanade in Melbourne's popular bayside location where she paints live and captures the hearts and imaginations of local and international passersby.

Mirabela's painting career started in a mentorship program with artist/traumatologist Saadi al Murayati after losing her mother to a 13 year long battle with ovarian cancer. She dedicates her work to her mother, Olivia Varga January 2009, who taught her to see the world through the eyes of her heart.

Mirabela is just about to embark on an exciting journey of motherhood which will no doubt bring an exuberant energy and inspiration to her upcoming paintings and further develop into magnificent work in the years to come.
